COEUR d'ALENE — Yes, North Idaho College is in the NWAC.
Yes, it's still attracting NCAA Division I transfers.
NIC head men's basketball coach Corey Symons announced the signing of Tyler Brimhall on Wednesday, a 6-foot-4 guard from the University of Idaho.
Brimhall appeared in 17 of the Vandals' games this past season, averaging 2.5 points a night. He scored a season-high 13 points against Pac-12 Stanford.
He will be a sophomore for the Cardinals during the 2017-2018 season.
Brimhall prepped at Logan High School in Utah, averaging 19.5 points and 6.4 rebounds to help the Grizzlies to a 20-5 record and an appearance at the state tournament.
NIC posted a 25-5 record in its first year in the NWAC last season, earning the No. 1 overall seed heading into the NWAC tournament.
