Troy’s luck didn’t change much on Saturday in Eureka. The Trojan bats were alive and well in the first game pounding out 16 hits, and then disappeared in the second game as the Eureka pitcher tossed a four inning no hitter.

The Trojans lost the first game 13-12 in extra innings when Eureka scored two in the bottom of the ninth inning after Troy had taken a one run lead in their half of the ninth. The Trojans out hit Eureka 16-13 but committed five errors in the game to help the hosts. Troy then lost the second game 19-0, committing nine more errors.

Tristyn Winebark tied a state mark for the second most hits in a game with her 5 for 6 performance in game one. She also knocked in four runs. Kaylee Tunison, Kylie Carr, Alyssa Lewis and Taylor Carter all had two hits in the game, with Tunison and Carr knocking in two runs each.

Carr took the loss in both games, but showed a ton of heart, grit and determination. After tossing 175 pitches on Friday against Plains, she turned around and threw another 225 pitches Saturday.
