Moore, Plue top LPOIC derby

SANDPOINT — Valie Moore and Scott Plue are the top finishers in the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club’s spring derby, according to provisional contest results.
Moore led the rainbow trout standings with a 17-pound, 36-ounce rainbow trout that measured 34.5 inches. Plue led the lake trout standings with a Mackinaw that tipped the scales at 23.34 pounds and measured 36 inches.
Rodney Vadever placed second in the rainbow hunt with a 15.9-pounder that measured 31.5 inches. Jeff Baugh is in third with a 14.48-pound rainbow that stretched the tape at 33.5 inches.
Brad Sturgis and Calvin Nolan rounded out the rainbow standings with catches of 14.28 pounds, 33 inches and 14 pounds and 31.25 inches, respectively.
Derek Blanchard is in second in the Mack standings with a 22.9-pound, 37-inch laker. Harvey Rutherford is in third with a 20.26-pound, 37-inch lake trout, while Randy Michaels is in fourth with a 19.92-pound, 38-inch catch. Becky Morrison is in fifth with a 19.72-pound, 38-inch laker.
Zack Kohal led the junior division with a 15.96-pound, 37-inch trout.
Carson Laybourne topped the Youth A division with a 15.56-pound catch, while Jackson Sifford led the Youth B standings with a 15-pounder.
