Bluehawks excel at Archie Row

Thompson Falls discus thrower McKenzie Holt captured first place at the Archie Row Invitational Saturday at Legends Stadium in Kalispell.

Holt’s throw of 167 feet, 4 inches, also a personal record, was enough to capture first place in the event.

Kade VanEkswyk had two top-10 finishes in the javelin and high jump. VanEkswyk threw 137, 3 inches, a personal record in discus. VanEkswyk finished fourth in the javelin recording a distance of 166 feet, six inches. Danny Hoisington finished fifth in the pole vault with a jump of 5 feet, 9 inches.

Losha Schroeder finished third with a jump of 13 feet, 6 inches in the long jump. Ben Searight had a distance of 18 feet, 1.25 inches in the triple jump, a personal record, that allowed him to finish 17th.

Parker Klaus finished 18th in the triple jump with a distance of 17 feet, 3.75 inches, a personal record. Danny Hoisington finished seventh in the triple jump leaping to 40 feet, 10 inches, and Kade VanEkswyk had a personal record of 39 feet, 11.50 inches.

Lady Bluehawks have strong showing

Thompson Falls track runner Maya Stiles cleared both a personal record and a top-10 finish with a 6th place finished in the 100-meter hurdles recording a time of 17.75 seconds. Lacey VanZanten finished 14th PRing with a time of 18.40 .

Madison Wheeler finished fourth in javelin with a throw of 112 feet, 4 inches and Maya Stiles PRed in the long jump clearing 13 feet, 5 inches.
