MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake woman was charged for pulling a gun on a car salesman during a test drive.

Grant County prosecutors charged Lisa Miller, 49, of Moses Lake, in Grant County Superior Court with first-degree robbery-armed with a firearm and first-degree assault-armed with a firearm.

Miller allegedly arrived at the LA Auto Rack on South Pioneer Way on Monday and asked an employee to go on a test drive in a 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. Miller told the salesmen she wanted him to drive and on the test drive requested he pull up to a Dodge Charger in the parking lot of the Ripple Tavern on East Wheeler Road, according to court documents.

Miller allegedly told the man she needed to grab something out of the Charger. She reportedly opened a door on the Charger, pulled out a gun, removed the gun from its holster, racked the weapon and pointed it at the salesmen. As the gun was being pointed at him, the salesman says he swiped at the weapon, but when he did she switched hands.

The victim says he told Miller she could take the vehicle, but he ended up driving out of the parking lot and parking by a nearby store. He was able to escape the vehicle and run away, at which time Miller got behind the wheel of the Spyder.

Miller later contacted MACC Dispatch and after identifying herself as Lisa Miller, told a dispatcher, “her husband set her up and that she had a weapon in the car.” Miller was found in the parking lot of Carquest Auto Parts on East Third Avenue by police and taken into custody without further incident.

“From open view, I could see a black semi-automatic handgun tucked between the center console and the front passenger seat (of the Spyder). I could also see a holster on the front passenger seat floorboards,” wrote a Moses Lake Police Department officer.

Police records indicate Miller was taken to the MLPD station for an interview, but she insisted on speaking with a lawyer before talking to an officer.
