Two elected to Troy school board

Troy School board welcomes two new members after a May 2 election.

Lori Damon, the Troy candidate, is replacing John Konzen as chairperson and Jan Fontaine, the rural candidate, is replacing Angie Husintruit.

Damon and Fontaine join board members Hy Boltz, Mark Roesler-Begalke and Craig Pierce.

Damon was the clear winner with 167 votes, and Fontaine won with 63 votes. The new members will serve a three year term.

Friday afternoon was clear and sunny in Libby when Tim Ekstedt called The Western News at 3:30 p.m. to report seeing a tornado on his Champion Haul Road property.
