Mrs. Labbe’s kindergarten class hosted a special Mother’s Day celebration on Friday morning in Superior. Mother’s were treated to cookies and other treats as the nineteen member class read individual cards explaining why their mom was special.
“Mom, I love you because you are the greatest mom in the world,” said one student.
After handing out their cards, they did another presentation expressing why “mom’s” are so special.
“We love our mom’s, happy Mother’s Day!” they all said, followed by a song.
“I want to thank all the mom’s for everything you’ve done for me this year. This group has been awesome and it’s been a wonderful year,” said Mrs. Labbe as she wiped away a tear. “This class has given me a spark I haven’t had for a while, it’s been a special group.”
The kids then gave out gifts of a flower, a little jar of candies and a painting to their mom for their special day.
Mother’s Day was Sunday, May 14.
