MOSES LAKE — The bail for a Moses Lake woman who allegedly pulled a gun on a car salesman during a test drive will remain set at $100,000.

Grant County prosecutors previously charged Lisa Miller, 49, of Moses Lake, in Grant County Superior Court with first-degree robbery-armed with a firearm and first-degree assault-armed with a firearm. On Tuesday, Miller’s defense counsel asked the court to reduce her previously set bail of $100,000, as she has no criminal history. Judge John Antosz denied the request, stating the reasoning behind his decision is the discovery that the weapon Miller pulled on the car salesman during a May 8 test drive was loaded.

Miller allegedly went to LA Auto Rack in Moses Lake and requested an employee take her on a test drive in a 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. Miller specifically asked the car salesman to drive the vehicle and during the trip requested he pull up next to a Dodge Charger in the parking lot of the Ripple Tavern on East Wheeler Road.

Miller allegedly opened a door on the Charger, pulled out a gun, removed the weapon from its holster, racked the weapon and pointed it at the salesman, according to court documents. The victim claims he told Miller she could have the vehicle, but he ended up driving out of the parking lot and parked by a nearby store. Miller got behind the wheel of the Spyder after the car salesman escaped the vehicle and ran away.

Miller later contacted MACC Dispatch and, after identifying herself as Lisa Miller, told the dispatcher, “her husband set her up and that she had a weapon in the car.” Miller was taken into custody without further incident by Moses Lake Police Department officers in the parking lot of Carquest Auto Parts on East Third Avenue.

Police say from open view a black semi-automatic handgun could be seen tucked between the center console and front passenger seat of the Spyder, as well as the holster for the weapon on the front passenger seat floorboards.
