Arlee girls excel at 14C Districts

POLSON — The Arlee girls track and field team had similar success to the Charlo boys track team winning eight of 17 track events at the Class-14C District meet Thursday afternoon at Polson High School.
The Scarlets’ Ashley Revis finished first in the 100 meters with a time of 13.61 seconds, finished second in the 200 with a time of 27.50 seconds, and first in the 400 with a time of 1 minute, 4.15 seconds.
Revis was also a member of the 4X100 and 4X400 relay team that both finished second. The 4X100 team that included Carly Hergett, Emily Fiddler, and Shawntaya Nelson recorded a time of 53.34 seconds.
The 4X400 relay team that included Natalie Yocum, Nelson, Bryndle Goyins and Revis clocked in at second at 4 minutes, 59.25 seconds.
Yocum shines at districts
Scarlet Natalie Yocum finished with three first place finishes in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters.
Yocum recorded times of 2 minutes, 31.57 seconds, 5 minutes, 44.40 seconds, and 13 minutes, 5.04 seconds to capture all three events.
Arlee track star Carly Hergett took home two first place finishes in the Class 14C District track meet.
Hergett finished first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.53 and finished first in the long jump recording a distance of 16 feet, 3.5 inches.
Hergett’s teammate Mikayla Rieken finished first in the high jump recording a distance of 4 feet, 8 inches.
