Meeting will address upcoming water main project

The Kalispell Public Works Department will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 24, to discuss the upcoming water main replacement project on Fourth Avenue East set to begin this summer.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public about the timing and what to expect during the construction that will replace 14 blocks of street and water main on Third and Fourth Avenue East.

The meeting will also cover the modifications of the two roads from one-way to two-way traffic and will allow the public and residents of Third and Fourth Avenue East to ask questions regarding the transition.

Kalispell City Council awarded the bid for the project to LHC, Inc. for the amount of $2.4 million in Monday night’s council meeting.

The public meeting will take place May 24 at 6 p.m. at the Kalispell City Hall.
