A Libby man injured May 19 when his pickup went off the road and crashed into trees has died, the Montana Highway Patrol announced Friday.

William A. Schikora, Jr., 52, was driving in an unspecified direction on Highway 2 near milemarker 38 about four miles east of Libby when he drove off the roadway, according to an MHP news release. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Schikora was taken to an area hospital where he died Thursday of his injuries, the news release states.

The MHP did not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
