Warden teen dies in collision near Othello

OTHELLO — A teenager from Warden died in a two-vehicle collision near Othello on Wednesday.

About 3:20 p.m. Andrew Huber, 17, of Warden was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt south on Booker Road, about 8.5 miles east of Othello, approaching state Route 26 and reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign. Huber’s vehicle was struck on the driver’s side door by a 2014 Chevrolet Cruz driven by Katie Sadowsky, 32, of Everett, as it entered the intersection. Both of the vehicles came to a rest on the east shoulder of SR-26, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Huber died at the scene of the collision. Sadowsky was injured and transported to Othello Community Hospital for treatment. The patrol reports the cause of the collision is under investigation.
