Sharen Lee (Moshinsky) Bonds, 83
Sharen Lee (Moshinsky) Bonds, 83, was born on May 30, 1934, in Yakima, Wash., to Matt and Dorothy (Davis) Moshinsky. She passed away on Oct. 29, 2017 at Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
She grew up in St. Maries, Idaho and graduated from the University of Idaho in 1956 with a bachelor’s degree in education.
Sharen was married for 60 years to James Bonds. They married on Aug. 4, 1957, in St. Maries.
Sharen worked in public education for many years beginning in 1956 in Las Vegas, Nev. After one year she moved back to St. Maries, where she married her high school sweetheart and began teaching there. Once her children were in school she substituted for the Coeur d’Alene School District and became a fourth grade teacher permanently at Borah Elementary in 1977. She retired in 1993 after 19 years of teaching.
Sharen loved reading and exchanging books with her girlfriends, playing casino games on her iPad and going to bingo with James.
She was a member of Tri Delta Sorority at the University of Idaho; a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, PEO, and Retired Teachers.
Sharen is survived by James Bonds of Coeur d’Alene, Steve Bonds and Irma Carlson of Rathdrum, Idaho, Brian Bonds and Pam Herdrick of Lewiston, Idaho and Erin Delaney of Kellogg, Idaho; sister-in-laws, Skip Bonds of Medical Lake, Wash. and Lillian Carson of Fresno, Calif.; grandchildren, Josh and Dina Shore of Hayden, Idaho, Jason and Leah Shore of New Castle, Wash., Matthew Bonds of Nampa, Idaho, Kelsi Bonds of Boise, Idaho and Megan Delaney and Justin Herrold of Kellogg, Idaho; four great-grandsons and one special bundle coming in April. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many more members of her extended family.
Memorial contributions can be made in her name to any charitable organization of your choice.
A celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at the Elks Lodge, 1170 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
