MOSES LAKE — Locals have the opportunity to enjoy a great meal and help out a good cause in early December during “Tip-A-Cop” at Rock Top Burgers and Brew, which will benefit the annual “Shop With a Cop” event.

Tip-A-Cop will take place at the Rock Top, 930 N. Stratford Road, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Rock Top is teaming up with the Moses Lake Police Department and Grant County Sheriff’s Office to offer the public a “fun night at the restaurant.” The sheriff’s office says there is a rumor that Santa will be making an appearance at the Rock Top.

MLPD officers and deputies will be paired with servers and all tips will be donated back to the departments to help fund this year’s Shop With A Cop. The Shop With a Cop program annually sees officers and deputies helping make Christmas special for select children and families during a shopping spree.

“I’m really looking forward to this because the money raised will go towards Shop with a Cop,” Sheriff Tom Jones said. “Rock Top will also have one of my favorites as a special: the Officer Rodriguez 5-O burger and a pop for $11.99.”
