Frances ‘Frankie’ Mae Lynch, 80

Frances “Frankie” Mae Lynch passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Oct. 27, 2017.

She was born on July 10, 1937, in Rugby, N.D., to Elmer and Dorothy (Drader) Tiffany. On May 9, 1944, they welcomed her baby brother, Dwight, into the world. Tragically, Dorothy passed away the following day. Dorothy’s parents lovingly helped Elmer raise the two children until he moved his little family of three to Vale, Ore., in 1949. Elmer met and married Edrie Foster and they had two more daughters. Frankie married young and had two sons, Donald and Larry. She married again and had four children; Debbie, Bill, Tammy and Diana. When Frankie was 34 she became a grandmother. She lived a full and rich life with many loves.

Frankie tended bar at the Slab Inn in Post Falls, Spokane International Airport, and Country Club in Fresno, Calif. She got her G.E.D. (of which she was very proud), went to cosmetology school, and went on to make beautiful fingernails for herself and everyone else for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Dorothy Tiffany, and one grandson. Frankie is survived by Edrie Tiffany, Vale, Ore.; brother, Dwight (Phyllis) Tiffany, Rathdrum, Idaho; sisters, Darlene Tiffany, Vale, Ore. and Donna (Mike) Anderson, Caldwell, Idaho; six children; Donald (Delcie) Hood, Sparks, Nev.; Larry Hood, Anchorage, Alaska; Debbie (Earl) Lewis, Superior, Mont.; Bill (Wanda) Roberts, Cusick, Wash.; Tammy (Chuck) Churchill, Gillette, Wyo.; Diana (Kelly) Smith, Superior, Mont.; 19 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The following poem was included in Frankie’s mother’s obituary:

One precious to our hearts has gone,

The voice we loved is still.

The place made vacant in our home

Can never more be filled.

Gone from us, leaving memories

Death can never take away.

Memories that always linger

While upon this earth we stay.

But some sweet day we’ll meet again,

Beyond the toil and strife.

And clasp each other’s hand once more

in Heaven...that happy life.

Frankie was a bartender.

She never met a stranger.

She loved everyone.
