BONNERS FERRY — Valerie Thompson was elected to the Bonners Ferry City Council with 154 votes, over Kenneth D. Toline who received 50 votes.

Geoff Hollenbeck with 37 votes and Stephen Economu with 29, were the winners in a five-candidate race for two seats on the Moyie Springs City Council, according to unofficial results from Tuesday’s municipal elections. Aaron Hegge received 21 votes, Douglas Reoch 20 votes and Roanne Smith 8 votes.

In an uncontested race for two four-year terms on the Bonners Ferry City Council, Ron Smith garnered 153 votes and Adam Arthur had 149.

Chad Farrens ran unopposed for another term as Mayor of Moyie Springs, earning 54 votes.
