A Martin City home was destroyed, but no one was injured at the residence on the South Fork Road Wednesday morning.

The fire call came in at 6:22 a.m., said Lincoln Chute, Flathead County Fire Service Area Manager. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

No one was home at the time. Jeannette Mundel had been painting the house and spent the night at her brother’s house across the road, her brother said.

The fire gutted the building. No other structures on the property were lost.

Firefighters from Hungry Horse-Martin City, Coram-West Glacier and Bad Rock all responded to the blaze.
