MOSES LAKE — There are two dinners that will be offered in Moses Lake next week for the public to attend, one for local veterans and one for Thanksgiving.

The Columbia Basin Elks Lodge, 814 N. Stratford Rd., is holding an honorary veterans dinner at 6 p.m. on Saturday. In addition, First Choice Services, a local company that helps people with disabilities find employment, will be holding a Thanksgiving dinner at the lodge on Nov. 15 from noon to 3 p.m.

The dinner will be prepared and served by Theresa Clement and students from the Columbia Basin Job Corps. This year’s dinner will be a little different, with Kandi Bersanti and Windermere Real Estate K-2 Realty LLC providing a lot of the food donations. In addition, live music will be played for attendees to enjoy while they eat. The dinner is free for the public to attend.
