MOSES LAKE — An unknown suspect allegedly robbed a woman as she was leaving an ATM in Moses Lake last week.

About 6:15 p.m. on Thursday officers with the Moses Lake Police Department responded to the 300 block of South Division Street for a report of a robbery. Police contacted the female victim who said an unknown male suspect grabbed her around the waist as she was walking away from an ATM. The suspect allegedly “pleaded” for $20 as he pulled money out of the victim’s hand. The suspect was able to grab a $5 bill from the victim and flee the area, according to police records.

Police searched the area for the suspect and reportedly contacted a person who matched the victim’s description of the suspect. The victim was not able to positively identify the person as the person who robbed her, however.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a “scruffy” beard, wearing a black coat and possibly wearing a black ball cap during the robbery. If you have information about the robbery contact the Moses Lake Police Department at 509-764-3887.
