Man stabbed at Kalispell motel

A stabbing at a Kalispell motel Monday night resulted in life-threatening injuries to a 41-year-old man.

The suspect, Blake Beverly, 33, was charged with assault with a weapon and was placed in the Flathead County Detention Center.

Kalispell Police responded to a report of two men fighting in a motel in the area of North Main Street at 8:19 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers reportedly found one of the men had been stabbed multiple times in the abdomen. He was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Kalispell Police Investigations Captain Doug Overman said Wednesday that the condition of the stabbing victim has stabilized.

Police described Beverly as a transient and report that neither of the parties involved in incident are from the Kalispell area.

Kalispell officers were assisted by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The incident remains under investigation.
