Jerry and Colleen Flowers
40th Anniversary
Jerry and Colleen (Kearney) Flowers, of Rathdrum, were married on Oct. 29, 1977, in Spokane Valley, Wash. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to visit Jerry’s Army friend, Roy and his wife, Sheryl in Broken Arrow and Tulsa, Okla., and then traveled to Branson, Mo., for music and fun.
Jerry is the owner of Flowers Construction and has worked as a general contractor for more than 40 years throughout North Idaho and the Spokane area. Colleen has worked as a registered nurse in Spokane and North Idaho for around 40 years.
They have one daughter, Hillary Main and husband Kasey of Post Falls. Their two loving grandchildren are Jordan and Mason.
“We have shared each other’s gladness and wept each other’s tears.”
Eat the cake, take the trip. Life is short.
MILESTONE BIRTHDAY
Doug Cresswell
80th Birthday
Doug Cresswell is celebrating his 80th birthday. He was born Dec. 4, 1937. He has lived in Coeur d’Alene for 46 years.
He worked for the Coeur d’Alene School District for 25 years and retired in 1992 as superintendent of the school district.
He has served since the ’80s on the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations. He continues to lead the North Idaho Retired Educators Association and is a member of the Coeur d’Alene Rotary.
An open house birthday celebration for Doug will be held from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at the Human Rights Education Institute Event Room, 414 W. Fort Grounds Drive, Coeur d’Alene. Stop by for cake and cocoa and to wish Doug a Happy Birthday!
