North Idaho Christian girls roll to nonconference win

COEUR d’ALENE — After missing its first 15 shots, the North Idaho Christian girls’ basketball team had much better luck shooting the ball, outscoring Upper Columbia Academy 25-6 in the third quarter en route to a 60-30 home win at Holy Family School.
Savannah Seeley tallied 17 points and Imelda Bresee had 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Royals (4-2), who continue nonconference play with a game at Lakeside Tuesday, Nov. 28.
Emily Stephens led Upper Columbia Academy with 13 points.

NICS boys win debut
COEUR d’ALENE — The host Royals opened a 22-point third-quarter lead, then held off a late rally to top Upper Columbia Academy 60-50.
Garrett White had a big season-opener for North Idaho Christian, scoring 33 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Teammate Cross Pilgrim had 16 points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists for the Royals, who return to action Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Lakeside.
Davis Wiggins led Upper Columbia Academy with 18 points.
