Charter's Bartlett, Smith earn all-state soccer honors

Coeur d’Alene Charter junior defender Emma Bartlett was named 3A (small schools) Player of the Year as the Idaho all-state soccer teams were announced by the Idaho High School Soccer Coaches Association.

Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Stacy Smith was named Small School Coach of the Year.

Timberlake senior Denton Meijerink was named 3A (small schools) Player of the Year for the boys team.

Post Falls senior defender Kyle Sanchez, Post Falls senior midfielder Nick Morris and Post Falls senior forward Diego Esquivel were named to the 5A boys first team. Coeur d’Alene senior goalkeeper Shawn McKeeken, Lake City junior defender Bennett Cunningham, Post Falls senior defender Eli Gregory, Lake City senior midfielder Dakota Curtis and Coeur d’Alene junior forward Gabe Nazemi were named to the second team.

Lake City junior defender Bridget Rieken, Lake City junior midfielder Chloe Teets and Post Falls senior forward Rickie Colosimo were named to the 5A girls first team. Post Falls senior goalkeeper Maddie Grangaard, Lake City senior defender Larissa Bailey, Coeur d’Alene junior midfielder Erica Skindlov, Coeur d’Alene senior forward Megan Drake and Lake City senior forward Annica Wilson were named to the 5A second team.

Coeur d’Alene Charter junior midfielder Elizabeth Lehosit, Charter junior forward Eliason Cherrstrom and Timberlake senior forward Shelby Starr were also named to the 3A girls team.
