All-state, all-conference football announced

The Columbia Falls football team had several all-state and all-conference selections. All-state offense included center Hayden Falkner, guard Gage Karlin, tackle Jacob Hagen and quarterback Austin Green. All-state defense included lineman Kyler Koski, inside linebackers Colten McPhee and Tanner Gove, safety Ben Windauer, defensive end Logan Kolodejchuk and cornerback Devron Harris.

All-conference selections for offense included Falkner, Gove, Hagen, wide receiver Drew Morgan, Green, McPhee, and Kolodejchuk.

All-conference defense included Koski, Gove, McPhee, Windauer, Green, Harris, Kolodejchuk, Falkner and Parker Greene.

Kolodejchuk was named Northwest A co-defender of the year along with Browning’s Brandon Aimsback. Green and McPhee were named Northwest A offensive players of the year.

Uphill skiers need to be aware of avalanches on Big Mtn.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
