BONNERS FERRY — During the busy holiday season, some UPS drivers will be driving their personal vehicles rather than the familiar UPS truck. All drivers will be wearing the UPS uniform and will announce themselves as UPS.

Spokesperson for UPS, Matthew O’Connor, said that unless you have a package that requires a signature, drivers can leave packages.

“People don’t have to open the door for them,” said O’Connor. “You don’t have to worry about confronting someone you are not familiar with.”

O’Connor also assured residents that drivers were hired from within the local area.
