ONTARIO, Ore. — Ellory Ferris scored her first two goals of the season as North Idaho College defeated Treasure Valley Community College 5-1 on Saturday in Northwest Athletic Conference women’s soccer.
Her second goal was a free kick served into the penalty area by Abby Roberts.
Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy grad Natalie Goetz put NIC (7-3, 5-1 NWAC) on the board when a cross from Marisol Guerrero went all the way through the goal area and Goetz came crashing in on the far post to volley the ball into the net.
“Another good game for NIC,” Cardinal coach Dan Hogan said. “Nora Kennedy had a great game in the back line, running down several balls to the corner and organizing our defense.”
Treasure Valley dipped to 1-5-3, 1-4-2.
NIC plays host to Community Colleges of Spokane on Wednesday.

ONTARIO, Ore. — Omar Hernandez volleyed in a loose ball, inside the upper right post, from 22 yards out early in the second half for the tying goal as the visiting Cardinals played to a draw with the Chukars in Northwest Athletic Conference play.
Cade Roske’s goal in the 18th minute tied the game at 1 for North Idaho College (2-6-1, 1-3-1 NWAC).
