Forest management up for discussion at Oct. 12 foresters meeting in Libby

A Montana Logging Association representative will discuss the organization’s efforts to promote forest management at an upcoming meeting of the Libby chapter of the Society of American Foresters, a news release states.

Laurie Woods is the guest speaker at the Thursday, Oct. 12 event at Simple Simon’s Pizza in Libby.

A pizza and salad buffet will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by Woods’ 7 p.m. presentation.

According to the news release, the nonprofit Montana Logging Association was founded in 1976 to unite and represent “the family-owned businesses that harvest and transport timber from forest to mill in Montana.”

Simple Simon’s Pizza is located at 30270 Highway 2 in Libby.
