Professional climbers, free-falling flyers, bicycling shenanigans in Spain, wilderness camping in Alaska and cyclists wheeling through a wild mountain range.

The wildest high adrenaline films from the Banff Mountain Film Festival are coming to Coeur d’Alene.

The Radical Reels Tour returns to the Lake City on Friday, Oct. 13, with a special screening of eight high action sports films at the Kroc Center, 1765 Golf Course Road.

“There is no better way to get stoked about skiing, bicycling, riding or climbing,” say local organizers of the film tour presentation.

In its fifth year in Coeur d’Alene, Radical Reels offers footage of adventure sports as seen through the eyes of today’s top athletes and adventure sport filmmakers.

Viewers will experience “Locked In,” filmed deep in Papua New Guinea’s rainforest, where a team of kayakers attempt the first descent of the Beriman River. Sheer canyon walls rising from one of the deepest gorges in the South Pacific, no escape and escalating water levels push the team to the edge in a 13-day descent.

“La Liste” features Swiss ski phenom Jeremie Heitz who details a list of the most interesting peaks to ride in the Alps.

In “Sonnie Trotter vs. The Totem Pole,” Canadian climbers Sonnie Trotter and Will Stanhope head down under to take a stab at the first continuous, all free ascent of the Ewbank Route on The Totem Pole.

The Radical Reels Tour, presented by The Banff Centre, continues to push boundaries with the best action sports films from the annual Banff Mountain Film Festival.
