Candidates forum set for Wednesday

MOSES LAKE — Candidates running for public office in Moses Lake will be gathering at the Moses Lake Civic Center Wednesday night to present their viewpoints and participate in a candidates forum.
The free forum is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the civic center, 411 S. Balsam St. Moderated by Alan Heroux, the event is designed to be a forum, as opposed to a classic political debate where the candidates face off on a number of different topics and issues.
The following candidates for Moses Lake City Council, Moses Lake School Board and Grant County Fire District No. 5 have been invited to participate in the forum:
Moses Lake City Council Position No. 1: Dean Hankins and Michael Riggs.
Moses Lake City Council Position No. 2: Karen Liebrecht and Jason F. Avila.
Moses Lake City Council Position No. 4: Dane Borschowa, Peter Josef Steffens, Barry Lawson and Daryl M. Jackson.
Moses Lake City Council Position No. 5: David Curnel and Nathan Pack.
Grant County Fire District No. 5, Position No. 2: K.L. (Buck) Naff and Lee Creiglow.
Moses Lake School Director No. 2: Vickey T. Melcher and Oscar J. Ochoa.
Moses Lake School Director No. 4: Elliot Goodrich and Kevin J. Donovan.
