SANDPOINT — Grace Hicks posted a huge triple double, hammering a season-high 19 kills to go with 17 digs and 25 assists, leading the Bulldogs to a 25-21, 16-25, 25-16, 25-21 win over Moscow in 4A Inland Empire League volleyball Thursday night at Les Rogers Court.
Jazmin Stockton added 11 kills, Gabby Hicks 14 digs and five kills, Lilly Anderson 16 digs and three aces, Kaitlan Ward 21 digs and Marina Breuner 21 set assists for the Bulldogs (12-8, 2-2 4A IEL), who beat Lakeland and Moscow to even their record in league play.
“Great team effort tonight. Strong attacking out of the front row from Jaz, Grace and Jenny (Slaveck),” praised Bulldog head coach Erin Roos. “Our defense kept us alive in some crazy long rallies. Very proud of their hard work and tenacity, they kept fighting for each point. Gabby Hicks stepped in nicely for an ill Shelby Kluver.”
The Bulldogs celebrated Senior Night, with Grace Kirscher, Ward, and Alexis Davis honored before the game.
Sandpoint will face Hawks in the loser-out game of the 4A Region 1 volleyball tournament next week.
