Libby voters on Monday can meet and ask questions of the four people running for three open seats on the City Council at a forum hosted by the Libby Area Chamber of Commerce.
Three candidates — Kristin Smith, Gary Armstrong and Gary Beach — are current council members. The fourth, Arlen Magill, sits on the Police Commission and has previously run for City Council.
According to Chamber President Amber Pacheco-Holm, each candidate will have four minutes to introduce themselves and be given equal time to respond to questions gleaned from the public.
Scott Beagle, a chamber board member, will moderate the forum, which begins 7 p.m. at the Maki Theatre at 724 Louisiana Ave. Refreshments will be provided.
Two other candidates for city office — Brent Teske for mayor and Angel Ford for City Council — were elected by acclamation Sept. 5 after no one ran in opposition. Teske had run for reelection, while Ford, appointed to the City Council May 30 to replace Allen Olsen, who retired April 27, had run for her first full term.
