Charles ‘Chuck’ Inlow, 62
Charles ‘Chuck’ Inlow, 62, of Dalton Gardens, passed away at Kootenai Health on Oct. 16, 2017. He was born on Feb. 4, 1955, in southern California to Walter and Jeanne Inlow. Chuck grew up in Stanton, Calif., where he participated in the Boy Scouts of America and attended the Boy Scout World Jamboree at Farragut State Park, Idaho, in 1967. He graduated from Western High School in Anaheim, Calif., in 1973 and later attended Fullerton Junior College. Chuck attended Class 17 North Orange County Police Academy in 1980 and the Extended Reserve Academy in 1981.
Chuck worked for the Montclair Police Department in 1981. He worked as a machinist for Royal Industries (BFM) from 1976 to 1992. Chuck met his future wife, Chris Flowers, at church, and they were married on Jan. 16, 1988, in Chino, Calif. In 1992 they moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Chuck owned and operated Inlow Construction Company and CDA Cabinetry until medically retiring in 2010.
Chuck was an active member of Lake City Community Church in Coeur d’Alene where he served on the usher team, at the church’s food bank and participated in numerous Bible study groups. He was the founder of, and active in, the Inland Northwest Garden Railroad Society. He was also the proud owner of CNC Railroad. Chuck had compassion for the homeless in the Coeur d’Alene area and served as a board member for Fresh Start.
He had a love for trains, researching railroads and how they played a major role in the history and development of the United States; outdoor adventures while camping and locating old railroad buildings; and especially spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Chris, of Dalton Gardens; their children, Ryan and wife Chrissy, of Hayden, Blake, of Post Falls, April, of Norco, Calif., Janine and husband Matt, of Coeur d’Alene; their grandchildren, Anthony, Kylie, Kalena, Jaykob, Carlie, Drake, Xanden, and Coltyn; his mother, Jeanne Dougan; and his sister, Bonnie Lucas. He was preceded by his parents, Walter and Freda Inlow, and brother, Tom Inlow.
Memorials may be made to the Lake City Community Church Food Bank at 6000 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at Lake City Community Church in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A reception at the church will follow.
