 3 injured in 2-vehicle collision near Quincy

QUINCY — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision near Quincy Thursday afternoon.

About 12:20 p.m. Lindsey Blackwell, 20, of Cashmere, was turning from eastbound state Route 28 onto White Trail Road, about three miles west of Quincy, in a 1995 Nissan Maxima when she reportedly crossed into the northbound lane of White Trail Road and struck a 2007 Peterbilt semi-truck driven by Joseph Collier, 50, of Mabton, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Blackwell and her passengers, Alfonso Pena, 19, of Federal Way, and a 17-year-old girl, were injured in the collision and transported to Quincy Valley Medical center for treatment. Collier was not injured. Both of the vehicles involved in the collision sustained reportable damages and were impounded.

The patrol reports Blackwell was cited for speeding.
