The North Idaho College Theatre Department presents “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress,” by Alan Ball at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and Oct. 26-28 in NIC’s Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center on NIC’s main campus.
This funny, irreverent play concerns five reluctant bridesmaids hiding out in an upstairs bedroom from an ostentatious wedding reception. Secrets are revealed and choices questioned, creating a common bond between them as well as moments of humor and pathos. It’s easy for audiences to see themselves in these women, even if we haven’t had the same experiences.
The play features NIC students Emily Blair, Sheleena Braid, Brooklynn Freer, Liz Fitzwater, Carrie Lasher and Brandon Miller. “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress” is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc. in New York.
The play contains mature themes and language; it is not intended for children. No infants, please.
