This past week has been a continuation of great volleyball action around the county.

Plains Trotters were set to go up against Two Eagle River on the home court, though due to unforeseen circumstances the visiting team had to forfeit the game.

Thompson Falls went up against Stillwater Christian, but couldn’t come away with the win, falling 25-23, 18-25, 24-14, 25-19.

Standout players for the Lady Hawks saw Broke Bowlin take eight kills as well as Jody Detlaff taking eight. Detlaff was successful in securing three blocks while Maya Stiles took 11 digs recorded. Riley Watson took an astounding 17 of the 22 assists while Lexy Van Elswyk took four of the nine aces.

Hot Springs went up against Clark Fork on their last home court game of the season coming away with a win as well as celebrating senior Stacy Gray for seniors night.

The final scores of the game saw the Lady Savage Heat take the game in three straight sets; 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.

Standout players for Hot Springs saw Sage Jackson take five aces as well as 22 of the 63 digs. Senior Stacy Gray along with Danielle Cannon both took eight of the recorded 30 kills. Sydney Jackson secured 23 of the 25 assists and there were also two blocks recorded for the team.

Coach Alisha Pablo was happy that her team came back from a dismal three weeks with the win.

“We kind of hit a bit of a lull, but we’ve changed things up again and the girls seem to be adapting well to change ups on the court,” she said.

She also added that her young team still has plenty of grit about them and are hungry to continue the win.

“We aren’t too sure of where we are on the ladder as our game was right at the top of the week. I have faith that this win will sit the girls nicely in the ladder,” Pablo added
