SPOKANE — North Idaho College will be the third seed from the East Region in the Northwest Athletic Conference tournament following a 3-0 loss to the Community Colleges of Spokane on Wednesday evening at Spokane Falls Community College.

NIC (12-6, 10-4 NWAC) will travel to either Skagit Valley or Whatcom in the opening round next Wednesday. The Cardinals opponent will be determined on Saturday.

Spokane (12-4-2, 10-2-2) will host an opening round game next Wednesday.

“Spokane probably had 65 percent of the possession throughout the game and a couple of very good saves by Kinzie in the first half kep the score even 0-0 at halftime,” NIC coach Dan Hogan said. “The relentless pressure of the Sasquatch created too many good chances in the second half, and Kinzie couldn’t save them all.”

First half — none. Second half — 1, CCS, Sydney Clements (unassisted), 48:00. 2, CCS, Cheris Brown (unassisted), 52:00. 3, CCS, Jamie Fassler (unassisted), 82:00.
