Howard 'Gene' Eugene York Jr.

March 28, 1953 – October 17, 2017

Gene York, 64, passed away peacefully in his home following his struggle with cancer.

Gene was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved the Lord and his family and friends deeply. He was a Vietnam veteran (USN). He lived many places, but spent most of his life in Moses Lake where he was born and raised.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Betty York.

He leaves behind many loved ones including his children Lindsay (Mike) Long and their son Noah; Megan York and her children Connor and Jemma Hauff; Dylan (Rebecca) York and their children Sean, RaeLynn and a son on the way; sisters Beth VanAuken, Linda York, Shelley York and Debra Bolman and his beloved dachshund Edgar Humperdinck Weisenheimer Esquire as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Moses Lake Christian Missionary Alliance, 1100 N. Grape Dr., Moses Lake.

A tribute fund has be set up in Gene’s name to benefit the Fisher House Foundation at www.fhf.convio.net/goto/geneyork.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks goes out to all those who were able to help care for Gene in his final days.
