Award-winning guitarist to perform at Wallenstein Theatre

Andy Hackbarth pays tribute to Andres Segovia, the “Father of the Classical Guitar” at Wallenstein Theatre on the Big Bend Community College campus Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.

Hackbarth has spent the majority of his life studying, playing and teaching guitar. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder where he taught guitar, theory, and songwriting for three years during graduate studies. Hackbarth also studied for several years at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music and the Aspen Music School. He’ll pay homage to Segovia through his traditional Spanish finger-style work. His current touring show, A Tribute to Segovia, features instrumental selections and short stories about Segovia’s life and music.
