MOSES LAKE — A 17-year-old boy was arrested Monday evening after allegedly stabbing a man in the chest late Sunday night in Moses Lake.

About 9:30 p.m. deputies with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 900 block of Lowry Street, in the Larson Housing area. Deputies responded to the area and contacted the 18-year-old male victim.

The victim was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for a stab wound to the chest, but the wound does not appear to be life-threatening, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Kyle Foreman. Deputies identified a 17-year-old male as the prime suspect. Foreman said the stabbing was a result of some sort of disagreement between the victim and suspect. Because the suspect, who fled the scene after the incident, is still a minor the GCSO did not release his identity.
