A local Amish family member rode his buggy horse through Plains doing some shopping and picking up some supplies.
While in town Buddy the horse pulling the buggy pulled up in front of the Valley Press on Lynch Street.
The buggy driver headed into the Little Bitterroot Store while Buddy kept watch over the Valley Press.
Standing calmly while he was tied up, it didn’t take long for the girls in the office to take notice of how he almost looked like he stepped back in time to the Wild West days.
Though the Valley Press building is fairly new, it still boasts some heritage feel especially next to the old brick building. Coupled with Buddy and his carriage out front you could nearly mistake the picture perfect moment as something from the past.
Almost always those buggy horses you’re seeing driving around town are just as sturdy and hard working as the old draft horses you see working in the fields throughout the US.
Buddy was no exception as he was loaded up with a desk on the back of the buggy with other supplies collected.
As they headed back out of town towards home, let’s hope Buddy and his driver come back soon for another visit.
