Herberger’s at Kalispell Center Mall has completed its year-long expansion and remodeling project and is ready to debut the expanded store to the community during a public ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13.

The Flathead High School marching band will perform for guests and lead customers into the store following the ribbon-cutting, and the first 500 customers will receive a special free gift.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate our grand re-opening and unveil our new spacious store which has doubled in size,” Herberger’s Store Manager Gary Evans in a press release. “We appreciate that our valued customers have been so patient throughout the remodeling process and as the hometown store we are excited to share this beautiful new shopping environment with them.”

The remodeled store features a more open floor plan and spacious shopping environment, updated décor and new LED lighting. Updated fitting rooms with seating areas for family and friends have been added for customer convenience while trying on clothing and shopping in the store.

In addition to offering expanded assortments and a new home décor area, the following new designer and national brands have been added to the store:

Home: Laura Ashley Home bedroom and bath furnishings, Lauren Ralph Lauren, Nortiake, Ellen DeGeneres.

Handbags: Dooney & Burke, Guess, Kensie, Wallflower and Hobo

Men’s: CK dress shirts and underwear, Polo underwear, VanHeusen and Haggar dress pants and a Big & Tall shop.

Center Core: Fine jewelry

Shoe Department: Ugg, Hippie Laundry, Naot, Natural Sole and GH Bass.

A week-long celebration runs Wednesday, Sept. 13 through Tuesday, Sept. 19. Customers can enjoy music, cosmetics makeovers, gifts with purchases, face-painting for the kids, Ugg boot decorating and more, plus enter for a chance to win $1,200 in prizes, including a $500 shopping spree.

Wednesday also kicks off Herberger’s semi-annual Goodwill Sale. Customers will be able to drop off items for donation at Herberger’s in exchange for coupons good for up to 30 percent off the purchase of apparel, shoes, accessories and other items as well as up to 15 percent off cosmetics and fragrances. The community is encouraged to get involved by donating items such as ladies, kids and men’s clothing, accessories, shoes, luggage and household textiles, which will be sold by Goodwill to help fund their community-service programs.
