Kluver, Stockton help lead Bulldogs to sweep of Ferris

SANDPOINT — Junior Shelby Kluver had a strong night, leading the Bulldogs with nine kills and 12 digs to go with three aces in a straight set sweep of Ferris on Tuesday in nonleague volleyball at Les Rogers Court.

Sandpoint (7-5) put up a strong block, led by Jazmin Stockton with five, while Grace Hicks added nine kills, 15 assists and three blocks, and Grace Kirscher six kills and three blocks in a strong defensive showing at the net.

Lilly Anderson had a team-high five aces to go with nine digs from the back row, Marina Breuner added 16 set assists and Helen Merwin nine digs and two aces in a solid win over a Greater Spokane League opponent.

Sandpoint now turns its attention to league play, hosting Lakeland on Thursday in a 4A Inland Empire League opener, with tipoff slated for 7 p.m.
