MOSES LAKE — Cooks can learn to make chicken piccata in separate sessions of a cooking class scheduled for either Tuesday or Saturday. The class is sponsored by Moses Lake Parks and Recreation.

Classes are open to youth and adults 14 years of age and older. Class will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday or 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, and are at the Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center, 900 East Yonezawa Blvd.

Steve Armstrong, a culinary instructor at CB Tech, is the chef. Class is $50 per person per session for adults and $40 per person per session for high school-age cooks. Class includes recipe and ingredients along with instructions in cooking.

Closed-toe shoes and long pants are recommended.

Chicken piccata is, according to the chef, “a lightly breaded chicken filet subtly cooked in an aromatic lemon-flavored chicken stock.” Dinner will be served over cooked pasta with bread, and a salad with lemon dressing.
