Crosstown time for soccer is set for tonight at Legends Stadium.

The boys — Flathead vs. Glacier — will play at 6 p.m. followed by the girls match at 8.

This outing was originally set for Sept. 14, but postponed because of a series of text message and email threats that closed Flathead Valley schools.

The Bravettes lead the series with the Wolfpack 12-5-4.

The Glacier and Flathead girls met three times last year with Glacier winning the two regular-season matches and Flathead prevailing in the Western AA state play-in contest.

The Wolfpack, however, have the edge in the series for boys 13-6-2. The two rivals also met three times — splitting during the regular season while Glacier won the Western AA state play-in match.

Glacier broke in the new turf at Legends Stadium last Thursday sweeping Missoula Big Sky (boys 4-0; girls 3-1).

This will be Flathead’s first go on the new field.

Both schools also play on Thursday in Missoula with Flathead at Big Sky and Glacier at Hellgate.

The Glacier boys are 5-0-2 overall, 3-0-2 league while the girls are 6-0-1 and 4-0-1.

Flathead’s boys are 3-3-1 overall and 1-3-1 league and the girls 1-6 and 0-5.

The second crosstown match for 2017 is set for Oct. 12, also at Legends Stadium (6 p.m. girls and 8 p.m. boys).
