A Libby man, Shannon Timothy Woody, 47, pleaded not guilty to three felony charges — criminal possession of dangerous drugs, criminal endangerment and assault on a peace officer — in Lincoln County District Court on Monday, Sept. 18.

Woody was charged with the three felonies after he went to a home where some of his family members lived and fired a gun multiple times from a van, court documents state. There were more than 10 holes in the van where bullets went through it.

According to court documents, law enforcement went to the home and asked Woody to get out of the van. Woody drove away in the van after being Tasered, then turned the van around, drove back and swerved at a deputy before exiting the van and running into a family home, where officers were able to apprehend him.

Officers found explosives, a substance that field-tested positive as methamphetamine, marijuana and two firearms.

Woody’s next court appearance will be Oct. 30 for an omnibus hearing.
