Libby stayed perfect on the season, downing Whitefish 25-14, 25-10, 17-25, 25-19 in a Northwest A match Thursday in Libby.

Mehki Sykes had 16 kills and five blocks for Libby. She finished with no hitting errors.

Jayden Winslow added 11 kills while Emily Mossburg had seven blocks for the Loggers.

“She was outstanding at the net,” Libby coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston said of Sykes. “Fun to watch.

“The first two sets we were firing on all cylinders,” Ostrem-Johnston continued.

“Everyone was playing well. Mehki lit it up.”

Libby was 7-0 overall, 5-0 league after the match.

Libby stayed perfect on the season by blowing by Ronan 25-18, 25-19, 25-10 for a Class A Northwest Conference victory Saturday in Ronan.

“We really struggled at the service line, but our hitters made up for it with their efficiency at the net,” Libby Coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston wrote.

Libby had 37 kills, nine by Mehki Sykes, to just eight for Ronan.

Alli Collins topped the Loggers (8-0 and 6-0) in assists (33) and aces (four).
