The Columbia Falls girls volleyball team split last week, taking Polson to five games in a loss at home last Thursday, 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, 16-25, 15-12, but thrashing Browning at home Saturday, 26-24, 25-18, 25-18.

The young squad had 52 kills against Polson, but fell three points shy in the fifth game in the loss.

Ryley Kehr led the squad with 19 kills, Angelica Street had 24 digs and Hannah Schweikert had 45 of the team’s 46 assists as she settles in her role as the setter. She’s only a freshman, but is playing well.

Against Browning, Kehr had 10 kills and Trista Cowan had seven. Street had 24 digs and Schweikert dished up four aces in the win.

On Tuesday, the Kats lost to Whitefish 25-15, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17.

The team plays Ronan at home Thursday night and then is on the road against Hamilton and Corvallis Saturday.
