Valley View Elementary School off to great start

The school year is off to a great start and the students and staff at Valley View are excited to be back into our hallways. The school looks great and we are very appreciative of all the hard work of the custodial staff and many others over the summer.
One big project that occurred was the remodel of our gymnasium. Valley View Elementary received a brand new gym floor and bleachers. Many thanks go out to the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club, the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, VVES PTO, and Boundary County School Board Directors. Without each of these organization, which are made up of local residents, none of this would of happened.
The past two weeks Artsgrow Learning displayed artwork at the Bonners Ferry Museum. It was of students in Idaho Public Schools and many of the pieces were created by our very own Valley View students. This wonderful art work is going to be toured around the state and displayed for all to see. Congratulations to the many students for having their artwork chosen.
Valley View is fortunate to have some new certified staff in the building that have years of experience and a heart for children. Please welcome the following teachers when you get a moment. They are, first grade teachers, Nelda Gentry and Jessica Vickers, third grade teachers, Heidi Bo Hawkins and Amy Brown, and fourth grade teacher, Drea Leach.
Valley View has a lot of activities and we hope that you can locate all upcoming events at our webpage: http://www.vves-bcsd-id.schoolloop.com/
