The Lincoln County Commission has adopted a resolution about resolutions (and ordinances, too).

Resolution 2018-01 — the title reflects a new naming convention set forth within the document — was approved March 28.

In addition to reflecting new naming guidelines, the resolution is formatted in a new template. It prescribes a “uniform policy and procedure for drafting and adopting resolutions and ordinances,” according to its description. “Its purpose is to ensure uniformity and completeness in enactments that are submitted to the Board of Commissioners.”

The nine-page document outlines other formatting requirements and the definitions of resolutions, ordinances and emergency ordinances, among other items.

Commissioners Mike Cole and Jerry Bennett approved the resolution. Commissioner Mark Peck was out of town.
