Electric co-op announces results

Flathead Electric Cooperative on Tuesday announced election results for the three open seats on its board of trustees.

In District 2 — Lower Valley, Rollins, Cook City and Elk Basin — incumbent Emery Smith was reelected in a race against Todd Wallace, receiving 3,455 votes to Wallace’s 2,378.

In District 3 — Whitefish, Big Mountain and Olney — the incumbent Jay Downen ran unopposed and was reelected with 5,546 votes.

In Distruct 5 — Kalispell, north of U.S. Hwy 2 — the incumbent Alan Ruby ran unopposed and was reelected with 5,577 votes.
